I didn't forget the ECW days as I wasn't able to watch them when the original promotion was on the air. I knew that there were people that liked him and Vince almost looked as though he was on the verge of pushing him during the Survivor Series match where he was the last member of his team to be eliminated.

Alot of wrestlers use to go back and fourth between NJPW and WWF/WCW. Back in the day when some wrestlers would have a little leave of absence, some of them were wrestling over seas. Hulk Hogan in the early and Mid 80's even after he won his title in 1984 was still going back an Fourth to Japan. you might be able to find videos on here and Vince Mcmahon can be seen with him pre match in the ring
