Updated 9/12/09 (Download my Gimp template). How to use the HP LightScribe Simple Labeler to make custom graphic labels.
Download my Gimp template from:

NOTE: The final image at the end of the video still has the feet cut off I know and I was fully aware of it when I rendered this video. That doesn't effect the outcome of the tutorial. I just wanted to put together the basic directions to get you going. Theres a little clip that I said twice, it was an editing mistake and i didn't feel like re-editing over again just for that, no big deal.
I have tried Lacie lightscribe labeler software in the past with no success whatsoever. I did get the knowledge of the where the PNG images are installed from some forum somewhere a long time ago. Everything else I figured out on my own.
Please let me know if this tutorial is helpful and also feel free to request other tutorials. I'm trying to think of things that I have figured out on my own with Linux and specifically Ubuntu to share with the community.
my keep asking for a root password to change any one of those pictures.

@TheMichaelBender Yeah you can open nautilus with ALT+F2 "gksudo nautilus" if your on ubuntu, and replace the first one which is normally blank. Using a template file makes positioning things a lot easier too.

Yeah I know thats just how the Linux video editing goes right now. I used Pitivi (not the version in the repos). Im still looking for a better solution. I refuse to simply run to Windows for it. hehe
