@kennyworth1967 I don't know why the driver is sitting there at the petro. maybe its poor trip planning, i don't go some were without seeing if there is any back haul. I know the freight has to get there but I don't know why they sit. Some of those guy like to sit. As of me doing over night freight I do it because that's what I like to do I see home time during the week as well as weekends. I know i may make a little more if i go to Indy, Nebraska, etc. but i'm fine were i am i can make it.

you cant blame them it only makes sense a train can carry 1000 times more then one truck can and use so much less fuel in comparison just a part of progress not all jobs will be around forever

It might happen soon. The whole world is going "GREEN" and they'll(trucking companies) want to take trucks of the road to cut cost.
its not going to happen its a crock of shit yeah they put it on trains to save money and fuel but those are non important loads that can be put on the back burner stuff they dont need right away it takes the train process forever. i am an owner operator and i deliver freight that needs to get there the next day and there is plenty of work. and there will always be loads that need to move quickly. I mean come on everytime you hear shit about driver shortages.

@seatsiefly Punctuate much? I've been driving ten years now, tell that driver sitting in a Petro, waiting 3 days for a load that the load on that train is ''back burner stuff.'' Next time you run I-80 east from Reno to Salt Lake, get a look at all the mile long trains filled with that ''back burner stuff.''
I guess since you're doing a lot of overnight work, you'd agree that, that is the direction the industry is heading..So,seems like you agree w/the video more than anything...Thanks for playing
