The new 600,000 sq ft factory is being built in two phases and will incorporate an existing production building. The facilitys design and layout are being optimised both for the production process and to minimise environmental impact. The structure will ensure maximum energy efficiency, and will incorporate low energy solutions into its mechanical and electrical infrastructure. Waste management was also a key consideration in the design, with a particular focus being given to waste segregation and recycling.

  • great clip

  • @bealmor1963 Yes...although I always thought the pay-off was in bananas. Maybe it is bananas...aren't they cheaper per pound? I don't know...I shall pay attention next time when I'm at the market...Over and out ,mate.

  • @MrAssbaron Very good lol. The point being: Monkeys work for peanuts....

  • @bealmor1963 Yeah, a thousand monkeys on a thousand rivet guns with a thousand drills in a thousand years....Presto a plane. A thousand more monkeys with a thousand measuring calipers and a thousand spec sheets and voila... we have airworthiness certification.

  • @MrAssbaron The monkeys are being trained as we speak.

  • @bealmor1963 Yes but one day that might change.Remember facilities can be transferred and monkeys can be taught many tricks

  • @MrAssbaron True, but they don't have the composite capability.

  • @bealmor1963 Agreed, however they have cheaper operations in Mexico but they are still green.

  • @MrAssbaron and the folks over at Shorts are the lowest paid aerospace workers in Europe, hence the good business comment.

  • @bealmor1963 Another reason reason is, because the folks over at Shorts are the most competent crew they have especially in fuselage construction.
