He's talking about squeezing arms/legs and stomach muscles to stop the blood rushing from his head at high G's.

"Keep Squeezing" refers to quickly and repeatedly contracting one's leg and stomach muscles. It's how racecar drivers and fighter pilots and astronauts keep from passing out at high g's. It sounds like you are grunting, and yes it is to keep the blood in your upper body so you do not pass out.
