So what does a retired GM Engineer do with a good friend?
Restore a 1964 Corvette

1964 CORVETTE RESTORATION Part 10 Epilogue / Prologue (IMHO)
"So yesterday my good friend Kirt and I took the body off the frame on the '64 Corvette. It was a tougher job than we expected because the engine lift didn't have enough stroke to cleanly lift the body high enough to allow the chassis to roll out from under. We were able to get a little extra clearance by taking off the wheels and dropping the brake drums onto small dollies used for moving cars in the garage and it rolled right out. Last job was to place the body on the body dolly that I built for the job. Tomorrow we can start transferring suspension, steering, engine, etc from the old frame to the new frame. Some bolts haven't been removed in 47 years and just don't like the idea of breaking loose freely. If we don't get rained out we should be able to get much of the rear suspension and front suspension moved to the new frame."
I like great it god job
