What a fantastic recipe. I have followed a number of recipes for pastry cream, with no success and then stumbled upon this one. The ingredients are accurate to a tee and I successfully made 10 pain aux raisins today. Thank you for this great recipe.
@googo151 mix thoroughly to combine and temper the egg mixture. Add the egg mixture into the sauce pot and whisk well, to combine and until mixture thickens. About 3-5 minutes on medium heat. Done! Creme Patissiere.
@minaina12345 It's a piece of cake this recipe if you just follow this recipe or some others on YT! Scald mik, about 1 1/2 cup, bring to a scald, just below a boil. Add 1 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract (good madagascar). In the mean time, in a mixing bowl, add 3 to 4 large egg yolk's along with 1/3 cup of plain white sugar. Blend till smooth. Add in 1 tbs of all purpose flour, and 2 tbs of corn starch. Blend till smooth and homogenized. When the milk comes up to a slight boil, add 1/4 cup or ladle.
