Dawn Upshaw simply does not over-sing the material. She gives the song exactly what it needs. Her tone is so youthful and honest. It seems that her mission is always to transport the audience, and never to show off. I love her straight tone, phrase sculpting and generous spirit. I sound like an infomercial so I'll stop lol.
