Ken Fernandes talks about the upcoming Kanyini course with uncle Bob Randall.
"Bob Randall was born in 1934 at Middleton Pond on Tempe Station in the Central Desert region of the Northern Territory. He is a member of the Yankunytjatjara people and one of the listed traditional owners of Uluru. His mother, Tanguawa worked as a housemaid at Angus Downs cattle station for Bob's father, station owner, Bill Liddle."
Borderlands Cooperative and Oases Graduate School have teamed up with uncle Bob to develop week long course on Kanyini.
"A tale of Indigenous wisdom clashing against materialist notions of progress, this is not only a story of one man and his people but the story of the human race. Kanyini is a Pitjantjatjara word meaning interconnectedness; to care for, to support, to nurture and protect."
