@undertakerRach the rape of nanking was wrote in 1998~she suicided in 2004. and there is no any connections between them! she was deeply depressed because of the study of the japanese soldier's brutal behaviors during the war!so many pictures and the truth make her a huge mental stress!after the publishing of the book~ she was threatened by the japanese right-wingers! she is not a liar but a big hero!there's no need to kill herself,if she just fabricated the stories!u r the liar!

Most historians allege that these were the heads of bandits or political criminals killed in the Chinese civil war. Iris Chang's The Rape of Nanking has the same photo with a background behind the heads on page 113. Looking at the larger photo, those who had experienced Nanking testified that the background is not of Nanking.

This photo is used as purported evidence of Nanking Massacre victims, but there was no such custom of gibbeted heads among the Japanese after the 1870s. Among the Chinese, however, this custom was still observed in the 1930s, and several photos of gibbeted heads appeared in cities of China in those days.

@bombtomas (Part2)It has been pointed out that what she wrote and the photos in her book were not related to the so-called Nanking Massacre. She shot herself by pistol and died in 2004. The London Economist magazine commented that she had committed suicide perhaps because her book was much criticized and she was deeply depressed about it. In short, Iris Chang, she was a Chinese lady, was a liar.

in regard of China behavior in Tibet.

I suggest fro some Chinese posters to google how many RTS games covered WW II in pacyfic area was banned from China (with Hearts of Iron series at front) ONLY because they showed up Tibet as INDEPENDENT nation (i read on Paradox forum that Chinese government demanded removal any traces of independent Tibet from game from Paradox under ban threat but Paradox said NO so game as banned from china market) and that's rises many questions...

During my school days in country which was on the EAST side of the iron curtain wnd was heavy influenced by Moscow POV i NEVER EVER heard during history lessons about Nanking massacre so please explain me what interest Soviets would have in hiding such enormus Japan atrocity (let's not forget that Soviets signeg ONLY an armistance with Japan) from public knowledge in east block in apex of COLD WAR?

I think this whole Nanking story was recently rised to counter growing up displeasure of the world
