  • Metal Rescue is a rust remover and NOT a carb cleaner. Therefore, we would highly discourage you from using it for your carb bowls as you reference in your comment. Try our online distributor Summit Racing, they offer Metal Rescue for the same price as we do -- $25 -- and they offer a flat rate shipping fee of $5.

  • Hi SuperMadklown, We guarantee our product 100%. Thousands of users have used Metal Rescue to de-rust their gas tanks with fantastic results. Plz be sure to contact us we will make it right!

  • do you have to pull the petcock off? Because I just bought a gallon of this shit and need to clean my tank but can I just leave the petcock on in the off position? thanks

  • @ElectricTN There's no need to remove the petcock, just leave in the off position as you said. Be sure to prep the tank by pressure washing at home or at your local coin car wash. Metal Rescue is temperature sensitive, the warmer it is the better it works (from room temp - 68 degrees up to 150 degrees). For optimal results, warm the liquid before adding it to the tank or warm the tank and liquid once the Metal Rescue has been added (place in the sun, over a heat run, in a tub of hot water)

  • @metalrescue Could you run this through a bike to clean the carbs out? As in mixed with fuel and running.. I drained my carb bowls but I am sure they have some rust in there. Also I would buy more than a gallon buts its $35 a gallon! Not the cheapest stuff in the world.

  • @metalrescue So its safe to leave the petcock on the tank? I dont have major rust just some surface rust and my tank is about a 4.5 gal tank. I was just going to shake it around and turn it upside down a few times. For a day or so. If should be here in a day or so i and I will let you know how it turned out.

  • If you have a question, please Google, Metal Rescue, and go to our website. W apologize but YouTube will not allow an email address or website in the response field. • Yes, leave petcock in off position. Depending upon your tank size and amount of rust, one gallon may not be enough. We are shooting a new video with further and more complete instructions due to the popularity of our product for gas tanks. Start by cleaning out tank with power washer and/or degreaser to clean as good as possible. When Metal Rescue is in tank, make sure temp of liquid is room temp or above. Leave 24 hours and rotate to other side of tank. Rust will turn to black liquid. Thanks
