surprise did not exist. waiting would have been better. artillery and aerial bombardment should have been used to its maximum.

They were Canadians full stop. Don't matter where they were born or where their parents or grandparents were born. They came to fight a war in Europe that had nothing to do with them but they came and they fought like tigers at Vimy. Their navy also helped saved our arses in the North Atlantic in World War 2. As a Brit I can do nothing else but salute them. if I ever wanted friends in the world ...I couldn't ask for better than the Canucks.

Since when do people separate the nationalities in Canada because there was a political debate of how many CANADIANS!!! were actually Canadian born. GROW THE FUCK UP! it doesn't matter if they weren't "Canadian born" they were still Canadian.

I cant stress enough on how much this wasn't our FUCKING WAR! we came and helped sacrificing OUR Canadian Soldiers... for a war that had nothing to do with us be FUCKING grateful that we did that and stop bashing Canadians we were just as much a part in both WWI and WWII than any other country involved. Either way all countries made sacrifices. Show some respect for the soldiers that did. ignorant fucking assholes.

As a matter of fact, General Arthur Curry which was Canadian born in Strathroy, Ontario lead the battalions in the attack of Vimy Ridge, which was a HUGE success in WWI ... so for all those ignorant people out there that say "Canadians" did "Shit all" in WWI can go learn something. It doesn't matter when the Canadians got involved in WWI its the fact that we did seeing as we had an alliance with Britain and France that's why so next time you say we didn't contribute to WWI go watch Vimy Ridge
