http://www.homemadepowerplant.com/?hop=adonpub The achievement is that we separate out the collection function of a photovoltaic cell to the light conversion to electricity function. When we collect the light, instead of using a huge area of solar cells, we use an equal area of cheap glass mirrors and they are curved in such a way as to concentrate the light onto a very small solar cell, the size of just one cell, and in this way you concentrate the light a thousand times and you can get a thousand times more power out of a small cell. -Professor David Faiman of Israel

  • there are so many solutions, suppressed or not supported by the "Great Pirates" running the world economy,, many great solar systems,, let's all do it! It means freedom of a new age without the dictatorial economic/eco-controls.

  • nothing special. He just concetrated the solar light. Simple logic.

  • He says cheap glass and metal. But he didn't say that his system requires a dish that tracks the sunlight, so there are motors, gears and mechanical parts that could add considerably to the cost. I'm thinking that the difference in costs is not that great. But it does eliminate most of the environmental costs of the process of manufacturing the solar cells. This shows that one has to look at ALL of the factors of a solar PV system.

  • @gabigowriel Because the bigger problem of the renewable sources of energy such as eolic, solar.... etc is that are not stable and reliable at all. They depend on many factors. For example the solar devices can produce energy only for several hours of the day or produce the half or less of energy when there are clounds.

  • @ikaros2006 if it's "just simple logic" then WHY don't many more humans act logical and build things like this to generate FREE ENERGY?!

or humans lost their brains somewhere in the 1950's?!

    ...

  • @medarknexs you are stupid. I am not jealous and i dont hate anyone.

  • @gabigowriel lol the cells they use so far on the satelites can stand these high tempatures :) He could simple attach a sterling machine and make his shit mach more effective, cheap and maybe smaller.

Listen i appreciate his effort but i dont agree with the term "invertion"

  • I wish you are right, everything will become cheaper.

  • @ikaros2006 well you are quite wrong:

I don't think a "normal" photovoltaic cell will resist the 900 degrees celsius that a parabolic dish/mirror can develop in full sun!

  • @Anvilshock

God. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. I thought I was the only one who noticed.

  • @enticed2zeitgeist Yes. The hotter a solar panel becomes, the less efficient it is. There has to be a way to cool it.

  • Doesn't the solar cell just melt with all that light and heat focused on it? Surely you can't take just any 4" solar panel and use hundreds of times more light on it.
