  • At home , you may choose to switch off the tap in between washing, as there is less risk of unknown contamination within a familiar and confined environment.

This video was made by complimentary courtesy of one of our supporters, Wellness TV Network.

  • To clarify:

The procedure above correctly demonstrates the proper handwashing technique within the hospital environment.

The water is left running because we do not wish to re-contaminate hands by touching the tap in between washing, which would defeat its purpose.

We do encourage the use of sensor taps wherever possible to reduce running water.

  • why the woman wear mask ?

  • well done! gonna be using this vid for my class...

  • ramnararara..... it's standard procedure NOT to touch anything while doin med hand washing unless the water can be regulated by the elbows or knees. Wasting tax money is preferable than the risk of sepsis = more expenses for antibiotic, and a possible lawsuit bec of negligence? duh.

  • Waste tax payer's money by making this video and wasting resources.

  • wasting tax payer's money.. as water running when the nurse is soaping her hand..
