Jesus commanded His disciples to obey the Scribes and Pharisees, but not to be like them. Yet, when they rebuked Jesus for allowing His disciples to pick grain on the Sabbath, He did not make His disciples stop. They wouldn't have starved. There was no OT command or example to pick grain on the Sabbath. It was not necessarily implied. The Scriptures were silent about picking grain on the Sabbath. Jesus used silence differently than you do.

Holy smoke man! 2 Tim 3: says that Timothy was raised up on those scriptures. What scriptures? The New Testament? Absolutely not! It wasn't compiled nor written yet! The Hebrew scriptures and the Greek Septuagint. Both of which Paul also had access to. That's the scriptures that were able to "give instruction." The New Testament merely consisted of some letters that went around to churches in that day. Do you think that Paul considered his letter scripture? I'm not so sure. The OT is usable!

@nini200777 Musical instruments are not authorized in New Testament worship. Please do not as so many say" I go by ( worship according to) the NT and the OT because you probably dont sacrfice a dove or burn a lamb without defects on an altar.

norm I can honestly say that God has given me the gift .the talent to play instruments. Ive learned how to play by Gods help I never took lessons .
-
"the strings they are referring to are from your heart" that is a dumb argument. 2 Tim 3:16 does not prove your point, in fact it disproved it. If all scripture is inspired by God, that means Old Testament too, so use your instruments!

This is arguing from silence... Nothing in the New Testament condemns musical instruments & just because it isn't in the word doesn't mean they weren't used...

Yes there is.... Eph 5:19
19Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; 20Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Early Christians sang Psalms from the old testament, and they were always sung with music. We are called in the NT to sing psalms - therefore musical Instruments are good. to praise GOD.

this makes me sad........... people are so sad.......i cant wait for Jesus to come back.

are you saying that as a musician I cannot offer praises or worship God with my mechanical instrument?
your Col 3:17 reference shows that God is not with you then because he didn't give you authority to use technology, according to your words. Then the caller shouldn't be driving because it isn't in the Bible

Teaching aids are authorized by Jesus using children as visual aids for his lesson on humility and innocence (Matt. 19:13, 14), the use of the fig tree as an object lesson (Matt. 21:19), etc. Examples of visual aids being used by biblical preachers can be found throughout the Bible. The use of teaching aids does not change the teaching - it is still just the word of God (2 Tim. 4:2). The addition of instruments changes the act of worship into something else - it is no longer just singing.

Sigh...you are wearin' me out, brother. Doesn't preadchin' this kind of stuff just...make you tired?
There's a lost world out there, brother - there's things they need to hear. This ain't it.

Yes, I see all the effort you are making to get the gospel to a lost and dying world. I checked the video content of your page and found nothing about the gospel of Christ.
Through my efforts, and others like me, people are seeing the difference between man-made doctrines, that cannot save, and the pure doctrine of Jesus Christ, God's power of salvation (Rom. 16:16).

This is part of your problem, Norm. You have absolutely no idea what I do each day for the Lord- none -and yet you assume you do by doing a lazy, cursory search of my "video content" then posting a sarcastic note.
This sarcastic, arrogant, condescending attitude you demonstrate in both your videos and your note to me, is ineffective in reaching any thinking person in any way.
I respect your obvious zeal for the Lord, and commend you for it. But keep searchin' brother -you're not there yet.

I know that you have the ability to use the Internet because the only reason I even know about you at all is that you showed up on my YouTube comments. So, though you have the ability to use the Internet, there is no evidence at all that you are using the Internet to further the cause of Christ. I have the ability to use the Internet and all anyone has to do to see whether or not I use my abilities in service to Christ is to Google my name.

I hear from people all the time who are being converted to Christ by the efforts to spread the gospel through the means the Lord has blessed me to use, His is the glory. So, I pray you will forgive me when I reject the advice of someone whose only evidence for even being a member of the church is couched in telling an evangelist who is being effective that they make him tired. I appreciate the fact that my zeal for the Lord is evident to you, but could I say the same to you? Sadly, no.
