The song "Fool's Society" by Scottish singer-songwriter Ali Thomson from his 1980 debut LP, Take a Little Rhythm.

Ali Thomson, born in Glasgow, is the younger brother of Supertramp bass guitarist, Doug Thomson.

The album Take A Little Rhythm was released by A&M Records and featured the top-40 radio hit single "Take A Little Rhythm." The second single, "Live Every Minute", charted below the top-40.

As for this song, I do not have the exact lyrics handy but I'm pretty sure I got most of them right.

LYRICS:
The city's eating you,
the city's eating me
I'm choking on the air
that I used to breathe

Friends that I once loved don't understand me
They say that I don't care but they just don't see
too busy watching the TV

Fool world, fool's society
It's a fool world, fool's society
And nobody, nobody makes a fool outta me

Get your shoes on, kids, it's party time
Down twenty ??? you saw me feeling fine
Mix those drinks and pop those pretty pills
It's lots of fun, but I get ill
Wired at home, daddy pays the bill

Fool world, fool's society
It's a fool world, fool's society
And nobody, nobody makes a fool outta me

Fool world, fool's society
It's a fool world, fool's society
And nobody, nobody makes a fool outta me.
