Rain Barrel

I found a water tank that is designed to go in the back of a pickup truck, and holds 210 gal of H2O, on Craigslist last week, I was able to buy it for $75. I'll have to plumb it all my self, etc but it was quite a find, I think.

for those who live in Vancouver, bins are available fully ready from the City gov't itself for only $50

i'd make sure that barrel is phthalate and bpa-free unless, of course, you want to run the risk of infertility and cancer. Wake up people plastics aren't that safe ... they leak into the water.

Thanks Carol for the video! I just happen to purchase some over the internet this morning and wanted to ensure that I knew how to install. I'm not sure if I'll save money anytime soon, but I'm happy to help the environment! What I'd really like is a pump operated cistern to water my lawn.
