Every afternoon visitors and volunteers alike get the thrill of hand-feeding some of the elephants at the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
These are all rescued elephants from either the logging forests of Burma or the city streets of Thailand. If you ever visit Thailand and would like a great, up-close experience with elephants (and lots of dogs!) please visit the Park; your admission fee will help support this cause and to rescue more elephants from the terrible conditions many face there. And it's much better than paying to see them perform silly, unnatural tricks they've been taught (mostly by force and intimidation) at the many elephant "camps" in the country.
For more info see their website: http://www.elephantnaturepark.org/. Thanks for watching.

[Warning: it's 8 minutes long, so get a cup of tea or something first!]

  • Amazing! I'm a big fan of all elephants and this seems like a piece of heaven in Thailand. Love how the dogs run around there like they do at the Sanctury in Tennessee. Thank you for all of your videos!
