styling is just beautiful. hard to believe it was derided at the time.

@str8OuttaNaptown30 Its got the stock TH400. On this run I put it in L1 and just ran it to the top of first gear. I have a second video where I left it in drive and it upshifted in the middle of the burnout!

@Mr420fighter Something is out of adjustment, most likely the accelerator pump. What kind of carb are you running? Mine had an Edelbrock 750cfm, but it would still roast them with the Quadrajet. The difference in power between the rebuilt motor with level 2 crower cam and the stock motor was enormous. It has a lot more power through the whole rpm range.

Now that's how to do a burnout! Not like these guys who put on the break and have their tires spin. Those types of people shouldn't even have cars, lol
Looking at getting a 75 anybody know if they got the posi and what was in them engine wise for that year?
newfiesledz 2 years ago
@newfiesledz 70-76 all had the 455. The posi was a rare option and hard to find for this rear end. I think its call the corporate rear end and is something like 9 and 3/4 inch. Mine is a 2.93 rear end, the GS had around a 3.43.

i have to say...i wanna buy a buick riviera boattail...but i would just drive it at the weekend when the sun is shining...not only because of saving the car, also because the gas....does anyone know how many litres it needs per 100 kilometres?
apeson89 2 years ago
@apeson89 I can tell you miles per gallon. This car was my daily driver for 5 years. With the stock motor and a quadrajet I averaged 11 mpg. One time I got 14.5 cruising at 45mph on the PCH. With the bigger cam (same low compression) I get 10.

the riviera was not a muscle cab but a cruiser the gearbox is not quickshift and it is as heavie as a car licence would allow

@harry8292 I call it a Gentleman's muscle car. And I call the styling Arrogant Styling
