Sinospheres is a project on noise mapping in Singapore. To brand the project, a logo was built through Processing, which highlights the use of particles as a symbol of human densities. The logo reacts to the volume of sound/noise, and for this video, a music track was used instead. At heightened sound levels, the particles move closer together to form the word 'Sinospheres', and when sound levels are lower, the particles disperse. Particles can also be manipulated through the use of the mouse, as seen from 1:55 onwards.
The logo aims to show the message of how human densities can affect noise levels in urbanized areas. For more information see sinospheres.tumblr.com.
Built with Processing.
Song is Sayonara Supergirl by Amateur Takes Control, a local band from Singapore.
