great scene from Mississippi Burning 1988 Gene Hackman is great. I read the book Witness in Philadelphia decades ago in college, on which this movie is based. Almost six decades later they are still pulling snakes out of the woodpile on this horrible crime. Great movie a must see for Hackman and Dafoe fans and history buffs

  • Come on now, Gene Hackman owned this movie... he was superb.

  • @gmt3010 That's right! Great character he played, demonstrating a good-hearted yet vulnerable and troubled boy. Impressive that his first role was a big one. Outstanding film.

  • @gmt3010 one flew east one flew west, one flew over the coocoos nest:-D

  • @gmt3010 the cookoos nest

  • Sure is dry and dusty in that town. What happened to the summer humidity that the Deep South is so famous for?

  • @Willredd94 As you know, it's a southern thing for any male to call another male "boy" as in "good ole boy." You are correct. Anybody that distrusted government agents were called "G-men" (for government men) or hoover men.

  • So basically we have here Lex Luthor and Green Goblin who team up together to stop the KKK
