@flowerpower9 they are called twist locks or coams there is one on each corner

it takes 6 to 8 hours to load a train of 140 cars with 200 containers they have to work fast or the port and the rails clog. they don't want that all containers need to be on rails and out of port.

what is the equipment used to secure the bottom and top container? what locking equipment is that? thanks! i need it for my homework write up!! :)

@EsotericDesi I hate these jobs. The rush makes them repulsive. It's cold, noisy, dirty, ugly, brutal, there's sleep deprivation and high physical stress and then they have shifts with 2 hours less time to do it. I could manage the shitty conditions if there was as much time as we needed to it. But then they tell you do this extremely risky task in a very short period of time, I'd just feel enslaved.

I am an idiot. I get sick of so much safety bullshit that slows down production. We understand the need for it, but sometimes it is out of control. Sometimes an experienced crew can judge for themselves better than some government worker making up rules.

you have no idea how strong the cables are. This is Normal practice in any efficient country. That hasn't gone health and safety mad.
