The Olmecs never deified the African lion P. leo; it was the Jaguar P. onca (which is native to the Americas) that they worshiped. Secondly, many cultures around the world built pyramid-like temple structures. If the Olmecs were from a very recent African migration a lot later than the original dispersal 120-100 kya and effectively colonized the Americas, there should be ample genetic evidence in modern Mexican Amerind communities to support such claims. However, there is not.
