World Peace is coming thanks to a phenomenon called The Snowball Effect, which refers to the cyclical nature of world improvement. A gain in any of the key factors that contribute to a better world makes it easier to achieve more gains in the other key factors.

World peace really is coming... new technology, when combined with efforts already underway, will allow us to eliminate extreme poverty from earth, taking us much closer to a world with a lasting peace.

In this video, we look at an example of a Kenyan farmer named John, and the ingenious he bought called the MoneyMakerPlus. The MoneyMakerPlus is a low cost, manually powered water pump made by a Nairobi based non-profit group. This pump allows John to see a seven fold increase in his crop yields, since he has an invaluable irrigation tool instead of relying on a simple bucket. Now John enjoys a higher standard of living, and can afford a better education for his children. He now has the means to rise out of extreme poverty... and 45,000 others have acquired a MoneyMakerPlus and are now on their way up, as well.

  • Hi, thanks so much for this posting! Although I am completely on board with you, do you have any other real world examples of this or any academic sources (sociological theory, conflict resolution theory, etc.) that express a similar concept? I'm trying to elaborate on this connection for my MA thesis here in Ontario. Keep up the great work and and peace :)

  • @robynpr One thing comes to mind: "The Improving State of the World" by Indur Goklany, which sites many academic sources. Good Luck!

  • I agree to this completely, but I don't think he stressed enough the need for people improving the world. Much of the corporate world is only out there to get money, not to contribute to the world. Contributing organizations should give the people the tools necessary to improve the world further.

  • Well, the board here at the Espatchelowe Channel has returned today's decision for a featured video...and, this video has been selected. Congratulations (lol).

  • Great news!

  • Those who employ a nonviolent economy of peaceful exchange and cooperation, will build true freedom and security for all, respecting the rights of each nation & individual to protect their own...
