well, im sure you have heard the phrase, practice makes perfect, am i right? well over the years i have learned that that is false, it is actually, perfect practice makes perfect. what i would suggest first, is to focus on a range that you know you can hit consistently well, and once you have that range down and nailed, then move higher. cant paint the windows if you dont have a ladder to support you.

That would just prove that I have problems remembering the tone, not that I am tone deaf, though the best way to work on it is to keep practicing, which is all I am doing anyway.

uhhh yea, im a guy as well, and that octave above high C that you were hitting, sure you were hitting it, but there is a HUGE difference between hitting and singing it. also, if you want to know whether you are tone deaf or not, try playing just a regular old C3 on the keyboard, and go up the scale without using the piano.

Well I just keep working on it. Though there is a new one where I just focus on the fourth octave which is a little better than this one as well.

I disagree there are times when I hit the notes, and am going higher when I do, so that means if I keep working at it success will come my way.

this reminds me of my 2 beagles reinacting the "love scene" with the sisters from the shawshank redemption.
