Exposing Fake/Counterfeit USB Drive!

I bought this Kingston DataTraveler 310 from a U.S. Seller off eBay. It was won by Auction for $60. I figured I had just won it at a good price. It seemed legit and the Seller was under the impression it was legit as well.

Come to find out it's fake. It's really a 4GB USB drive that has had its firmware changed to look like 256GB.

It can only be formatted in exFAT (Fat64). It will let me copy as many gigs as I want but when transfering the data to another machine only the first 3.7 gigs would work. The rest were corrupt.

Just know that the actuall drive retails up to $600 and anything lower is most definately a scam. Buyer Beware!

You dont have to open it and see if it's fake, You can just run the H2TESTW 1.4 programm from your P.C. and shows you exactly if it's real or fake!

Another red flag is that the capacity shown as WAY too close to the 256 specified. Data sold and portrayed is always different.

Have you ever held a heavy flash drive .....Uh Nope this idiot broke the thing himself I have bought one from kingston company it is the same thing.if you see a good deal and got the money grab it.It holds files like it claims make sure on the package it was distributed by the company,Buy from a reputable site !!!

he is a bullshitter that is trying to make people buy it from him for dirt cheap he know people still want it.He is an idiot broke it,this was built light weight and not heavy or bulky its suppose to be newer technology.have you seen or held a heavy flash drive the one from kingstons website it is the exact same thing I have bought mine there for way more money all the give you when you spend all that money is supposedly 5 year warranty but who the F8=k is going to have a flash drive that long !
