two people were told to get the $%#^ on their way

I always thought this was Roger Miller as a kid...
-
he should have taken out some of the do do do do dos out. too too too too much!
-
The song might have had something to do with Dolly Parton as many have suggested BUT . . . I remember a Certa Mattress billboard on old route 66 between Chicago & St. Louis (specifically between the towns of Shirley & Funks Grove - SW of Bloomington) That showed quite a lovely young lady in her "nighty" kneeling on a bed. I had always thought that THAT had to be the billboard in the song.

I'm not a country fan but THIS is music.

Now and again I tune into "You-tube" and then I find something that starts my feet tapping, and this is one of those songs, Great!
-
i love the guitars in this song!
-
The girl on the billboard was Dolly Parton if I remember correctly.....
-
a song from the happy years

The only #1 song of Del Reeves' career. It hit #1 on the Country & Western chart. It was the 85th #1 C&W song of the Rock Era. This could almost be a borderline pop song.
