@wingwaabuddha Just a short way of saying Japanese people, I'm British and I don't mind being called a "Brit" the term I used was used during WW2 by Americans and still used today.
As for the original topic Western cannons were far superior to Eastern, I never said Europe invented Gunpowder, just we were quicker to develop it and ironically gave it back to them.

@OperationAnime262 gunpowder technology was invented in Asia... transported to middle east by Mongols... from middle east...to europe via the crusades...only to return back to asia...Also im sure you don't mean to offend but...who says japs?

Japs never really had good cannons compared to their Western counterparts, most of their gunpowder technology was influenced by the West.

@sart212 I'm pretty sure you can be any clan... but in order to make them you must have a port, after this it's either timed or a random event will happen indicating that Namban traders (I think?) will offer you a deal... when you accept then you can proceed down the road towards gun powder... but the downside is that, your settlement will come under the influence of christianity, which will then spread throughout your lands causing unease in your neighbors.

They were trying to hit the men charging at them but those old rocket launchers are extremely inaccurate. They are mainly used for sieging castles and hits on moral.
