Running a crossing is mainly a North American thing. I don't know why, it's stupid, but people don't want to wait.. It actually happens quite a bit in the States and Canada.

I've looked through some videos of american railroad crossings...and you all give credit to ppl that stop for the lights like its something unusual. :/ I don't think i've ever seen someone run through the lights at a crossing in Sweden. All though almost all crossings have booms, but they don't come down until a good 10 seconds after the lights start flashing...

i once was on a transit bus, and I was talking to her, and we were at a railroad crossing, and she stopped, and looked 1 way, and she was about to go, and i pointed out that there was a train coming the other way!!

so, we had to wait, but she would've been hit if I didnt let her know that there was another tain coming...

All city transit busses and school busses MUST stop at the railway crossing, with their 4-ways on and their doors open for at least 5 seconds. That is basically what happened here, except he saw the train, so he didn't need to open his doors :) AMAZING JOB!!!
