Nov 11, Remembrance Day, Armistice Day aka Poppy Day
remembering our soldiers that fought for our freedom
we remember those who have served and died under our flag and those who are currently serving in very dangerous places today.
The soldier has seen more suffering and death than they should have in their short lifetime. They have wept in public and in private, for friends who have fallen in combat and are unashamed to show it or admit it. They feel every bugle note of the 'Last Post' they would defend anyone's right to be an individual. Just as with generations of young people before them, they are paying the price for our freedom. They are the latest in a long thin line of Fighting Men and now Women that have kept this country free for hundreds of years. They ask for nothing from us except our respect, friendship and understanding. We may not like what they do , but sometimes they don't like it either - they just have to do it. Remember them always, for they have earned our respect and admiration with their blood.
