Tomar RECT-13LS Mini LED Grille Light vs Code3 XT3

This is a head to head comparison of the Tomar RECT-13LS vs. the Code3 XT3 surface mount led warning light. The difference is easily visible, even on video. The new Tomar led light is amazingly bright and there is no contest between the two. The video does not show off angles because I had very little time to "play" with this light while the Tomar rep was in town but I can assure you that even off angle, these are incredibly bright. What's more, these can be mounted vertically whereas the Code3 cannot due to it's optical design.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but it appears that the light on the left is tilted downward, while the one on the right is aimed up, right at the camera. Would this make any difference?

@ER801 Actually, both lights are set at the same angle. We're not into "smoke & mirrors" to promote our products. The Tomar RECT-13 is just a superior product.

Switch them to the same pattern, and THEN make a video. The flash pattern with a longer dwell time (on time) will generally always appear to be brighter. The difference in brightness between these two units is probably not that great.

Better yet, take a video with the lights flashing against a wall.

@rogerbutt90 Point taken. However, we are no longer promoting Tomar now that we carry Whelen and Feniex brand lighting. That being said, we do not consider code3 products to be on the same level as any of the other brands we offer.

Tomar LED's are also much more flat if you haven't seen in person. The TOMAR make a perfect pair for License Plate Bracket mounting. Tomar ALWAYS makes excellent products. They sit back and usually evaluate what everyone else makes for several years. Then they develop fantastic products based on what was learned over the introductory period of other manufacturers. They seem to have always used this way of thinking which seems to work for them. TOMAR does make some fantastic products.
