So I am supposed to have a voiceover of this essay but my computer is a huge pile of broken all over the place, so this is as far as I've got. I wouldn't have uploaded the essay version anyway, its all about hope and careers and terrible things like that.

I had no idea what I was gonna draw when I started recording, but after I drew a landscape I realized my entire essay was about people, so I drew that chick too.

Music is Guilty Cubicles by Broken Social Scene. I was listening to them, and this song in particular as I finished (and it happened to fit the length requirement) so it seemed appropriate

  • Glad to see you're still painting, great work! Any chance you have that voiceover essay handy? I'd love to hear it. :D

  • @archangelgabe No waaaay, it's really not worth it. This video + essay did get me in though. I didn't make it through the final rounds, but they said if I were ever to apply again, just use the same essay and I'd get full points again

  • Amazingly detailed and inspirational concept, good luck getting a career on this!

  • @ChimeraIllustrations Thank you!

  • Holy shit do you have like keyboard shortcuts for colors?

    Because that's fucking pro.

  • @CheeseMoe13 Nope, I just use "alt" a lot. Temporarily changes the tool to the eyedropper as long as you hold it. I'm using pressure sensitivity on my tablet to vary the opacity of colors as I blend, and then I use the eyedropper tool to pick up colors from the blended ones...if that makes sense

  • Really great work, would love to see some more of this stuff from you.

  • Great job Ferret!

This was really calming and soothing, and yet beautiful to watch. Hope to see more of these and keep up the great work!
