Are you using Acrobat Reader Version 8.0? When you open a PDF file on your PC, have you noticed how your computer grinds to a halt?

Your theory didn't work for me. Takes 10 minutes for a 5000 page PDF to stabilize. V8.1.2 today. I think my issue is related to barcodes on the pages. Foxit stabilizes before I can even check event log for resource usage :)
