Are you using Acrobat Reader Version 8.0? When you open a PDF file on your PC, have you noticed how your computer grinds to a halt?

  • When i did this it said that there were no updates , what now?

  • I have the same Problem (90 % CPU) under Acrobate Reader 9! And under Linux!!

  • When i open a PDF it always opens small and i have to magnify it out to 100% how can this be set as a default?

  • unckick???? it didnt work but tnx

  • Your theory didn't work for me. Takes 10 minutes for a 5000 page PDF to stabilize. V8.1.2 today. I think my issue is related to barcodes on the pages. Foxit stabilizes before I can even check event log for resource usage :)

  • Hmmm... maybe it would be easier to switch to Foxit Reader?
