Political dynasties and corruption are the major contributing factors that's keeping the Philippines from prospering. Why do they keep electing the same people and their families (like the Marcos') over and over again? Also, overpopulation...people that can hardly support themselves having numerous children. What would happen if the land can no longer sustain the population?

it is true filipino must help filipino, I been to the filipines recently for 5 months, and I know its hard because the leadership and rich are so corrupt I could not believe it! I as an Black American believe filipines have alot to offer the world with goods and hard work, but u need strong leadership and good followers that don't want anything for free. America has emulated Europe and in some ways may be even better now, emulate some of the good things of your neighbor countries that work .

Funny how the ignorant call others ignorant, Reagan gave us a 7 trillion dollar deficit , that Clinton cleared up, Bush with his thirst for Iraq spends all this money on war withour raising taxes, gets us in 11 trillion and still some ignorant person still trys to blame democrats.
