Fiddle Tune a Day is my ambitious project to post a new fiddle tune on the web every day for the next year, using both youtube and tumblr.
Day22:
Morrison's Jig:
I'm feeling rather lazy today, and went through loads of tunes for todays post but couldn't find any. I ended doing one I've played loads before, and its embedded in my memory for ever more. This is 'Morrison's Jig', A very popular Scottish jig. I also fiddled about with iMovie a wee bit just for fun, as you'll find out in the outtakes.
This tune has been played all over by many bands, almost all people in the folk world will know it. Probably the coolest I've heard it played by is 'Wolfstone', A celtic rock group from Inverness.
I also play it with my band Skee'n'Doo, pop over to check our version:
