  • Man it's your fuel injectors. One of them is broken. If it's a TDCI you can buy another fuel injector cuz u cannot repair it because it has a chip in the fuel injector which is broken too.If it's TDDI you can repair it.

  • @snico Yet I drive the Insignia CDTi 2.0 160 for work, among others like VW Passats and Audis and think the Insignia is a fantastic car, and out of the ones listed would be my choice for a private purchase.

  • @snico Enterprise rent a car is prodominently a Vauxhall/Opel fleet, followed closely by Fords then after Fords its just a mixed bag of surprises. That means I almost lived in Insignias, Astras and Corsas driving them all the time, hoovering them out, filling them up, jet washing them etc etc. The clutches on them are viciously abrupt, especially the 2.0 CDTi's. The CDTi's had lots of hard torque and gusto but very bad for refinement, the engines feel as rough as bears.

  • @1ns4ne1d10t Only drove the Insignia once and i didnt like it one bit. They are a good car if you want to have back ache after a long journey, you just cant get a comfortable driving postion in them, well I couldnt anyway.

  • @snico I used to work as a vehicle prep and I used to drive Insignias, Mondeo's and the occasional BMW but not Audi. I used to drive thousands of different cars but I don't do it anymore because I left enterprise. The 'nice to drive' Mondeo thing is a bit of a gimmick, I drove them quite a lot and its not everything that would charm me into buying one. Insignias have a horribly hard ride but sharper handling then a Mondeo and the cabin space is horribly cramped especially in the rear.

  • @1ns4ne1d10t They may have been true years back, but Ford and Vauxhall have come a long way since then, they are just stuck with the stigma of being unreliable. German cars are more reliable, but you do a pay a large premium for them. I drive quite a few diff cars in my job, more Audis than anything, and I would say that the new Mondeo is a better drive and handles a lot better. I'm not a big of fan of Fords, but the new Mondeo is one of the best cars I have driven this past year.

  • @snico I don't listen to people when they say a Ford or Vauxhall is reliable, for all the problems they get, they really aren't worth the hassel of owning - fair enough if its cheap, but I won't go out of my way to pay more for it over Audi or BMW, if the Germans are the same asking price as a Ford you'd be an idiot to buy a Ford. Just the word Vauxhall/Ford doesn't exactly counjour up words of quality and ever lasting reliability and I like to have peace of mind when I own a car. :-)

  • @1ns4ne1d10t The Delphi rails are in lots of engines though and have always been notorious for failing, up until they replaced componants in about 2005 (ish). Vectras and Mondes are the traditional repmobiles, but for last few years BMW has seen a massive increase in the rep market, dont forget though they sell a lot more Mondeos and Vectras. They are very reliable hence fleet companies use them. You hear more horror stories because there a huge number of them about.

  • @snico Its strange how you would pick a ZSD Ford Mondeo with the notorious delphi injection system and ICU problems over a BMW 3 series. I wouldn't say BMW are as much of a sales rep image as Ford, Ford Mondeo's and Focuses are the most notorious 'sales rep' cars around. They are famously dubbed as "Repmobiles" I like Jags my favourite one is the new XK and I like the XF as I have had the privilage to drive one. I just hate the X type. I would pick Audi over BMW too, good choice.

  • @1ns4ne1d10t I know a fair bit yes....I know that the 3 series BMW is now considered a very common car, it is no longer a luxury car like it used to be. "Jag with a wig on" is a phrase people use to associate the cars similarity. X Types are not a jumped up mondeo, sub frame and chassis are completely diff, not the same as some people make out. The X Type shares about 20% same parts only!...BMW = Overated yuppie mobile/reps car, JAG = Luxury car.....Iwould pick an Audi over a BMW!
