@ArcticSTi damn are you my lost brother?!?! i always think of it like that, the sti has the strongest AWD transmission ever made, and the evo has the best engine created, i wish both could be combined, it will make the perfect AWD car, you can launch that bitch at 7000 all day, well as long as the axles hold..lol
If your drivetrain breaks you should have bought an STi. If your motor blows you should have bought an EVO. And that's the bottom line cuz stone cold said so!!
i have no clue...im no evo expert. what i know is that evos benefit from fat factory turbos... evos are easy to build...STis donde even mod cams until a certain point..
im a subie owner EJ207 im trying to find a good spooling turbo without the need of meth...
define mild..... there are fully built long block evo's and sti's that choose to run FP greens still.....damn near 500WHP(mustang dyno whp!) with super quick spool... i wouldnt call the FP green mild unless your used to chillin with 9 and 10 sec cars...
Stock Evo9 turbo is a, TD05HRA-16G6C-10.5T....and yea from the outside it appears to be a stock evo9 turbo.. It uses the larger diameter EVO9 compressor housing and bearing housing found in the 2006 models. It uses a 700cfm 69-5 billet compressor wheel and an enlarged 11 blade turbine wheel. This combination of increased compressor and turbine flow results in a very broad powerband and stock like boost response while still being capable of well over 430awhp. So says FP.
whats the stock turbo on the evo 9? ive seen that the fp green is exactly the same in the exterior as the evo 9 stock turbo...and IIRC the green is just a mild upgrade?
@Disaster646 I agree bro, if they can combine both you would have one BA car.
