San Mateo County Supervisor Jerry Hill has received the endorsement of current Assemblyman Gene Mullin in the race to succeed Mullin in the State Legislature.

"Gene Mullin has been a terrific legislator and advocate for the issues that are important to San Mateo County," said Hill. "I am thrilled that he has decided to endorse me to replace him in Sacramento. Gene has been a leader on education, the environment and health care and I look forward to continuing to work on those issues in Sacramento."

"Today, I am announcing my wholehearted endorsement of San Mateo County Supervisor Jerry Hill to succeed me in the State Assembly", said Mullin. "Jerry has a proven track record of outstanding service, and has the personal qualities matched with the policy acumen, to make an immediate impact in Sacramento on behalf of the residents of the 19th Assembly District. I have both observed and worked closely with Jerry on numerous issues facing San Mateo County, and I have a great deal of confidence in his abilities to perform this job with distinction.".

Mullin currently represents the 19th Assembly District which includes most of northern San Mateo County from Daly City to Belmont and includes the coastal communities from Pacifica to Half Moon Bay. He is currently the Chair of the Assembly Education Committee.
