Towards the end of the third set, after midnight, Furthur makes the transition between St. Stephen and The Eleven. Of note from the two-night run, Playin' in the Band and Dark Star were both left unfinished. The band: Phil Lesh (Grateful Dead), Bob Weir (Grateful Dead), Jeff Chimenti (RatDog), John Kadlecik (Dark Star Orchestra), Jay Lane (RatDog), Joe Russo (Benevento/Russo Duo), Zoe Ellis & Sunshine Becker (backup vocals).

I think you mean Rob Baraco plays with DSO on keys.

  • @prophetdude2 Dark Star Orchestra is the band that John Kadlecik started in 1997. John is now playing with Furthur. Rob Baracco, formerly of The other Ones, now sits in with DSO on guitar.

  • @ prophetdude2 - you been to a show yet? This isnt about getting the "old band back" that we know could never be. John is great and brings it every night, something Jerry couldnt always do. Just go see a show man.

  • @scruffy4242 ok look, I'm not an idiot. All I'm saying is that this whole idea of getting the old band back together is just almost like a novelty. I'd like to see newer generations start cool bands and start making good music. To me, this just looks like old deadheads trying to relive the glory days. Which is perfectly fine, but that means that for kids like me, i'm just kinda stuck with newer music like rap and pop and electronic. Which i think sucks.

  • @prophetdude2 you are an idiot man. This is as good "dead" as you are gonna get. Plus, this is bad quality so it is hard to tell. But from higher quality videos Furthur can still rock the old dead songs. Another dead band Dark Star can still make the dead live on too. The Dead will live forever

  • @prophetdude2 what do you mean by "all of this"?

  • just came back from Coney Island..they were pretty good for my buck....

  • They sound pretty bad in this

it's kinda cool they're tryin to re-live the glory days, but i think they should just focus on trying to get the next generation of teens into the dead, i don't think all of this is really necessary....
