  • Gawd this looks like so much fun. I would kill to get out of my office job and just really have a chance to really work and put things of significance together like that.

  • Anyone know the music?

  • Unions reach an contract agreement with the company so u end up having lots of people that start to lazy around because the union protects them all while the company is paying full benefits thus costing the company high operating costs eventually they will pack up and go were there are no unions leeching off the company i was kind of happy when convair closed because no longer would lazy useless employees would be leeching off this great company that was general Dynamics the Convair division

  • I worked for 18 months at an assembly line building the MD-11 we built the fusalage section here in san diego california at general dynamics convair division back in 1991 i enjoyed every minute that i worked thier from my 4 weeks training to the day we all got laid off great salary and benefits but its a union job and unions demand so much from these great companies that eventually they will pack up and move were labor is cheaper all 11,000 plus of us got laid off

  • This is wonderful! Kids should be shown many things like this so they learn to appreciate the complexities of business, design, manufacturing, etc. They should be asked: which jobs could you do? Which jobs would you enjoy doing? I just put a piece on my site called "60: Smart Content Makes Kids Smarter," which points out that kids are every day using complex objects without any understanding of how those objects got created. There's a world of education in even the most common objects.

  • Oh the 737 rolling line.
