  • As a Portuguese, I have to say, I will happily join my British brothers in the field of battle, while singing A Portuguesa (Portuguese anthem), I'll have God save the Queen (or the King, it depends) in my heart. And while we march at the beat of the British Grenadiers, we shall crush all our enemies - for noone can ever stand against the oldest alliance in the history of mankind! Britannia and Lusitania forever!

  • In Sweden we had the opportunity to watch the whole concert on TV tonight. Just fantastic (as usual). Wish I could get a ticket for the Last night of the proms in 2012! :o)

    :) We thank you for your kind words. <3 Belgique

  • @WTFBBQ5 French-speaking Belgian, not French! But nothing, we have what we owe to the British people during WW1 and WW2. Every evening at Ypres we commemorate the memory of those soldiers came to die for our Freedom and the home always received in Great Britain (Gilwell Park or another!). Excuse my English, poor, but I know order a beer without problem;-))) ... In English!

    Thank you for your kind words.

    Vive la France :)

  • Lovely, every year (it seems) there's a new arrangement of the Royal Anthem. Who did it this year?

  • @Stockiex02 Of course that is possible. Think about when the empire stopped being economically beneficial for Britain. It was decades ago. Also when you look at GDP per capita we are doing well. Have you ever studied Economics?? When you say that shouldn’t be possible you are making a basic mistake.

  • Très touchant "Jerusalem" en abord et puis le God Save The Queen et le "Ce n'est qu'un au revoir" en Français. Longue vie au Peuple Britannique! Et sa souveraine!

    Vraiment très touchant!

  • Agiter ce stupide drapeau flamand durant le God Save The Queen.... pffffff;;;;;

  • @dutch9886 If you don't like the monarchy, there are some men in high black boots, gleaming breastplates and plumed helmets on big black horses who would like a word with you. You can continue that conversation with the guys in the red coats and bearskin caps. Good luck. May the beautiful, passionate love affair between the Crown & the people & the military live forever.

  • @dutch9886

    Just bugger off you moron!

  • Fick the kween.
