@mr420B It's very easy. In theory.
Just a very small body movements.
Head down, you fly up. Head up, you fly down.
Hands forward, you fly back. Hands to the body, you fly forward.
Smal change with hands position, wiggle like with a car wheel .. you turning right or turning left.
It's rules for beginners.
Basically all is about buoyancy force.

@captainpiccard It's the elementary school level physics.

@lahvon wow, not sure if incredibly stupid or just trolling. buoyancy has to do with mass, not surface area. you should read up before going into an argument that you can't win because you know nothing of what is going on... read up before you reply...

the instructor would kill my nerves though ... i hate this kind of instructions ...

@captainpiccard a little more humility would be better.
It´s easy ..
larger area = more buoyancy = fly upward
smaller area = less buoyancy = fly down
What I wrote is exactly what the instructor tell you, if you come as a beginner and want to fly in the tunnel. When you want to holding the altitude, fly up and down, turning left or right.
Because .. movement of the hands and feet is exactly what the change surface area and buoyancy of the body. And, indirectly, it adjusts your sagging body.

@lahvon you never skydived have you? has nothing to do with the head, or the hands... to fly up (reduce your fall rate) you get "flatter" (reduce your arch). to fly down (increase your fall rate) you arch more. to fly forward, you extend your legs, and to fly back, you retract them... also, NOTHING to do with buoyancy, seeing as you are not "floating" on anything...
What's the name of the song ?
