Garnier Fructis Blow Dry Perfector
Rating: 0/5 - Not worth even trying
Price: $12
Pros: Weighs down hair, No Frizz or flyaways
Cons: Expensive for 1-2 uses, Smells horrible, weighs down hair, Does not make blow drying/hair straightening easier
My Hair Type: Thick, Naturally curly/wavy
I had a lot of high hopes for this product and expected some sort of leave in conditioner after reading the discription of the product. However, it is a bit more of a hassle than that. Since my hair is short, I only needed to use half of each bottle and planned on keeping the other half for the next time I used it in my hair. The bottles are quite small and for how much you use this will only last once or twice depending on your length. That had to be the first problem with the product and unless it did some sort of magic, I planned on never buying it. It is a two step process and the entire kit is similar to a hair color kit. It came with a set of instructions, gloves, the step one product (20 minute smooth-it serum) and the step two product (Perfect-it cream).
If you dye your hair a lot you will recognize the chemical scent the step one bottle has. But, amplify it by two. The scent of it is very strong and you can expect it to stay in your hair after a few washes. Personally, the smell didn't bother me too much. But, if you are very sensitive to smells I suggest you skip out. After doing a bit of research I found many people got dizzy, headaches, and sick because of the strength of the smell. (My boyfriend was also quite angry the scent wasn't going away). If you are intent on using this, I suggest lighting up a strong scented candle for your bathroom and opening the windows. The step two product on the other hand smells quite nice. But, it will be overpowered by the step one so you will not be able to tell much.
The product boasts to have smoother, softer, silkier hair for 7 washes so I went on to test that theory. It does last, but it is obvious that the product is weighing down your hair in order to prevent friz. I personally was not a fan of that and since I have very thick hair it felt dirty and was taking even longer to do my hair. I suggest this product if you have very thin hair, but otherwise stay away!!!
Since I don't want this review to be all negative there is a product I found that can be used instead and costs around the same amount. Chi Infra Treatment. It is a moisturizing conditioning treatment and is very easy to do with a nice smell. It is a thermal protective treatment and is probably best for those who constantly are blow drying and flat ironing their hair. In comparison to price, the Garnier product has 2.70 FL in total (That is both bottles added together) for around $12. The Chi product has 12FL ans is $16. You are getting a way better deal on the Chi product and can use it for as many washes as you like.
i feellike you should have more hair in order to properly review soemthing like this. thnks for the crappy review :)

@lizbeth3164 - It is naturally curly, I flat iron my hair every day and use a hair thinner. So, it doesn't always look like it does in the video haha.
