Well this is it, my final soundtrack video to Turok 2 in the tribute to the 10th anniversary.
This is on of my favorite Boss tracks of all time (Next to Castlevania's Dance of Illusions). I would have like to see this track played by an orchestra (The entires game Soundtrack for that matter).
There was something odd though: Both the Primagen and the Queen Boss Have this Music, I can understand that this music was so cool that they would want to use it twice. But having a midgame boss and the main boss in the game have same music? Especially a game with as renowned soundtrack as this one? Well to this point it's not worth complaining much, it's still a great soundtrack.
But still for consistency sake of Inconsistency, they should have given both bosses different music.
The Primagen might not be what you expected (I though it was going to be a Gargoyle or something else but an Alien, and I was a kid back then so give me a break). He is overconfident for someone who just you rip apart his entire army and kick butt on his defenses. Although he is undoubtebly well prepared. With the N64 controllers it was hard to believe the developers expected you to hit his little antennas without cheats.
If you manage to survived the Primagens onslaught you'll be treated to one of two ending:
1) If you manage to beat the game without cheats and complete all objectives (Which I was unable to do) you'll get an ending which credits all your afforts for the safety of the totems.
2) You'll blow off the Primagens brains out in an anticlimactic way that even Turok will be like "That was it?"
The false ending can be misleading. I wasn't even aware that there was a second ending until just recently.
When the battle with the Primagens ends you'll find yourself speaking with Adon on the platform. If you get the real ending she will praise you for defeating the Primagen and thank the combined energy of the totems for eradicating him.
If you failed an objective, she'll instead say how she fear that the Primagen is not truly gone. Now why is this misleading? Cause of what she says next:
"I have been unable to identify the source which conspired against you with your battle with the Primagen"
She was referring to the Sentinels (Flesh eaters) and ultimately Oblivion. You think that she was referring that the primagen could return in a sequel but she really meant that you have a some work to do.
And this is also a clue that there would be a sequel.
So that's it, any closing thoughts?
It's been 10 years since this game came out, and although very few play this game anymore everyone will get a huge nostalgia of how they spent hours trying to beat this game (some in vain and some not). And when they think back they will have warm memories of wither the cerebral bore, the music, or my favorite: The Firestorm cannon.
You cant kill him with the nuke.

"ARRGH, YOU DARE!"
"SUFFER MY WRATH!"
Well, people but stuff said during fights with other VGM boss themes. This song is very epic.
