  • This is what I love about YouTube.

the ideas you get from other folks are awesome. i never would have thought about the cigar idea. I quit smoking years ago, but I alwase have a lighter with me somewhere and my grandfather used to smoke King Edward cigars.

    My question though is this...

what does "Stropping" a knife do?

    Thanks

    5*

  • Stropping the knife backwards on a piece of leather, cardboard, or even he window glass in your car will straighten the edge, and help polish it up even more. Most of the time, with regular use, you can strop a knife before each day, and it will not need a full sharpening for a long time.

  • Great job Ken...Where did you get those folding guides to plants / tracks etc???

  • I picked all 4 of them up at Barnes and Nobels, I think they were 6 dollars each...decided to get them, instead of one big book on each because they are more portable.

  • i like it buddy! not a smoker but i love the cigar idea. . . the only thing i could suggest would be something to transport water in, but i guess that what you do with your hobo stove! overall great kit man!!!!

  • yeah, I forgot to mention that I have a 20 ounce water bottle of fresh water, and the place that I trek runs along side a creek, and a marsh....so I have access to water if i run out......great point though....cant forget the water
