JUST MISSED!!! "Conscience" just missed making the Billboard's Hot Top 10 chart; it peaked at No. 11 and spent a total of 10 weeks in the Hot Top 100 in 1962...

@2011littlejohn1 Thanks, but not necessary. I have to go to my public library to check my e-mails 2-3 times a week; and since Houston has NO oldie stations at all, I also spend several hours listening to oldies on YouTube there. I have only regular free TV (no cable), but I might catch it on "Thistv" or "Antennatv", two great sub-stations that run a lot of older movies---heff.

@theheff66 Major block buster with an all star cast and it's on youtube could not send you the link.

@2011littlejohn1 I've never seen this 1961 movie, but James Darren is a very good and versatile actor/singer.

@theheff66 I though James Darren was pretty convincing as the gun toting kid in the Guns of Navaronne.

Heard this on the radio few hours back... What a lovely song! Hail the radio and youtube...
I would have dated James Darren.

trivia cont: The last 2 Gidgets were made-for-TV movies. In the write-up for the last one my book said: "now all we have to look forward to is 'Gidget Has A Baby' or, perish the thought, 'Gidget Gets Divorced'." Looks like we had neither. By then we had Watergate and lousy music. But we also had the start of the Nostalgia Craze with "American Graffiti" and TV's "Happy Days".
