  • Virgil haters beware, lest someone askes to see some of YOUR greatness. He was more legendary than any of you bafoons could ever hope to be.............and I am quite sure his legendary student Carlo would tell you the same thing.

    peace

  • @pendy81 Turkish march by Beethoven. Not the military march.

  • Virgil was an entertainer, nothing more. There's no feeling behind his recordings!

  • true, he was a good player, but the style of his playing was no wear near the beauty of todays players, i've heard him play Liszt's Ad nos. Ad Salutarem Undam, and I had to turn it off, it was to fast, and to showey offey.

  • As far as I'm concerned, he doesn't need replaced. He holds a very important part to the history or the world of organists, but shouldn't be replaced. Should we replace Widor? So good damn thing he can't be replaced, but I will not call him king or say he could play pieces that nobody else on the planet could.

  • He could play music on the organ that no one on the planet can play. he was a protege. he was a king. he was a legiond. he can not be replaced

  • I totally disagree. Not only was Virgil most definately not "king of the organ", but his playing was anything but graceful. He was a showman and his playing was about the show. He killed (KILLED!!!) SO many pieces. I really didn't and still don't like Virgil.

  • I really disagree. Carlo is great but NOT NEARLY as good as Virgil. Virgil was an organist that we will never come by again. HE WAS THE KING OF THE ORGAN! He played so gracefully and powerful. he was a Protige
