  • Dogs do not have cholesterol problems and vascular disease with anywhere near the frequency of people. Myocardial infarction is so rare in dogs that is essentially last on the list of rule outs for dogs with heart disease. The statistics show that neutered dogs generally live 1-2 years longer than intact ones.

  • Neutered dogs have no source of testosterone, which leads to heart disease, myocardial infarction, strokes and cardiovascular disease, senile dementia, osteoporosis and hip fracture.
