  • What do you mean?

  • cant see.. am i really missing out??? /:-|

  • @Nuan07 No, to each his or her own . When Soke first started he was much more aggressive then now . Shinden Fudo ryu we are supposed to train our bodyies like rocks. The idea my shin strikes can be a useful tool without hurting myself is a good thing.Same as my punches being able to collide with another fist and not hurt. Its not for all ,just another tool in my pouch.

  • Even if you are working on your bone structure you are doing reps of bad movement, which will promote bad form. Those are not strong punches or kicks, the form is pretty poor.

  • I would definetly dis agree ... The movement is direct to the bone structure with proper force .The kicks and punches are strong enough that I have to watch out from knocking over what I am hitting . And there is no form to building bone structure as long as everything is alignment ..Which it is .

  • The Bujinkan is constantly evolving. Soke has said time and time again that people should not be using makiwara in their training. Takamatsu did, but those were different times.

SDFR reality check: It just blows my mind to think how anyone other than Soke can talk about SDFR or dare to give a seminar on it. SDFR is, in my opinion, way beyond the level of the highest ranking shihan. We found out a few years back that there were seminars being given which had nothing to do with the ryu.

  • Very understandable that the Bujikan is constantly evolving..Subtle movement is key. But Imust say I also do not listen to everything my parents say. I am not saying cripple yourself..But I do enjoy knowing that my bone structure can hold up to intense pressures. SDFR is a tag, some still look at the way it used to be to strengthen bone structure. Sorry this seems to upset you so much.

but im not talking about bruce lee style or karate style

  • Due to politics, there are many cases where "students" are allowed to take express elevators and end up teaching people who would normally be their teachers.
