On the day after Vice President Joe Biden said during a speech that the stimulus package has created jobs, the unemployment rate increased from 9.4% to 9.7%.
Fox Business Network's Stuart Varney said it won't be long until it reaches 10%, and says that Biden is "misleading people and speaking economic nonsense" regarding job creation. "This is fantasy land," Varney says. "Maybe... these are green jobs created by Van JOnes, the wildly successful green jobs czar."

We need a live public debate between Johnny Genius, i.e. Joe Biden, and Mr. Varney. Think Biden would accept it on neutral ground? I don't think so.

I agree with some of that TuNnL, but as of now I feel the less big Government movement is being embraced more by Republican candidates. Doe that mean that we should all become Republicans? No, I'm just saying that more Republicans (Not all) embrace our message. There is no question that this Obama Guy and his gang of merry Henchmen are spending our country into the next century. .

And vote out the Republicans, too. They have worked together with Democrats to screw working-class Americans.

I hope that we can vote the DemoCRAPS out of office starting in 2010. I fear the pop cultured Sheeple, who get their news and opinions from Hollywood elitists, bad music pop music stars, Obama state run media sellouts and other misguided sorts, will turn right the hell around and vote back in these people who sold us down the river with the big assed stimulus bill, cap and trade, Net Neutrality and more than likely this evil Obama, Pelosi healthcare plan. Patriotic Americans, VOTE EM OUT!

Well it sounds to me like you need to deal with this on your own. I don't know why you are bothering me with it. I don't have a problem with people using teleprompters while giving speeches. I don't have a problem with them using note cards either. I figure they can use whatever they prefer.. or nothing at all. It is really a non issue as far as I am concerned. It in no way reflect the intelligence of the person who is speaking. Actions always speak louder than words do anyway.

I have written and called my Congressman many times.
I fully understand why politicians read everything. My point is, I would like a politician that is so knowledgeable, articulate and self-confident, they could speak without reading verbatim. I would accept someone that used 4 X 6 note cards to make sure they covered all their points.

Maybe you should write your representatives and tell them that. I am fairly sure they have bigger fish to fry than that... but who knows. Obama writes his own speeches however I do know that several in the past have not done the same. Even the congress and senate read from notes in their meetings... It is just a way to make sure they make all their points in a timely manner so they can get as much information out there as possible without leaving anything out. It doesn't bother me.
